Tesamorelin is a synthetic stabilized analogue of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It features an N-terminal trans-3-hexenoic acid modification that protects the peptide against rapid enzymatic degradation by dipeptidyl peptidase (DPP-IV), significantly extending its biological half-life compared to endogenous GHRH. The molecule acts selectively on the GHRH receptor located in the pituitary gland to stimulate the pulsatile secretion of endogenous growth hormone, and subsequently raise IGF?1 levels in a physiological pattern.

It does not continuously overstimulate GH release, which differentiates it from some secretagogues. Research studies focus on its effects on body composition, visceral fat reduction, connective tissue metabolism and endocrine regulation. The product is manufactured by solid-phase peptide synthesis, followed by RP-HPLC purification, lyophilization and rigorous batch testing. Each batch is accompanied by a COA report covering purity, water content, peptide identity and related impurities. The lyophilized form maintains good stability under frozen sealed conditions; improper reconstitution, repeated freeze-thaw cycles or exposure to room temperature for long periods will lead to peptide degradation and activity loss. This reagent is widely used for in vitro and in vivo laboratory studies of the GH/IGF?1 endocrine axis, fat redistribution and tissue remodeling mechanisms.
