Ipamorelin is a synthetic pentapeptide classified as a selective growth hormone secretagogue (GHS), originally developed by Novo Nordisk. It acts as a potent and selective agonist for the growth hormone secretagogue receptor GHS-R1a, also known as the ghrelin receptor. Distinct from older GHRP series peptides, the outstanding feature of Ipamorelin is its high receptor selectivity. In preclinical laboratory research, it triggers pulsatile release of growth hormone from the anterior pituitary gland, while producing minimal stimulatory effect on the secretion of cortisol, ACTH and prolactin, which makes it a preferred research tool to study pure GH-related biological responses without interference from other hormone fluctuations.

Ipamorelin is widely used in multiple preclinical research fields, including neuroendocrine regulation, body composition, bone metabolism, gastrointestinal motility and endocrine signal pathway exploration. Early pharmaceutical research also investigated its potential application for postoperative ileus. In in vitro and animal model experiments, researchers utilize this peptide to explore GH-mediated effects on cell proliferation, collagen synthesis, bone mineral density and energy metabolism. Its compact pentapeptide structure endows it with relatively good chemical stability and favorable solubility properties for laboratory formulation preparation.

Our Ipamorelin peptide is manufactured by solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS). After chain assembly and deprotection, crude peptide is purified via preparative high-performance liquid chromatography to remove truncated peptide fragments, residual protecting groups and other related impurities. Each production batch undergoes full identity confirmation by mass spectrometry (MS), and HPLC analysis to verify purity. Additional quality control tests cover moisture content, residual solvent, heavy metal inspection and microbial limit testing. Complete COA documents containing HPLC chromatogram and MS spectrum are available upon request. The lyophilized powder form effectively slows peptide degradation during shipment and long-term cold preservation. After reconstitution, the peptide solution should be aliquoted and stored at 2–8°C for short-term use or frozen at -20°C for long-term storage. Repeated freezing and thawing must be avoided to prevent peptide aggregation and loss of biological activity.
