Epithalon, also commonly known as Epitalon, is a short synthetic tetrapeptide originally derived from research on the pineal gland. This small peptide consists of only four amino acid residues, which gives it excellent molecular flexibility and relatively high stability in laboratory research environments compared with longer polypeptide chains. It has become a widely studied molecule in the field of aging biology and geroscience research.

The core research interest of Epithalon lies in its ability to modulate telomerase activity in cell models. Telomerase participates in maintaining the length of telomeres located at the ends of chromosomes.
